Nick Lachey may be best known as the former frontman for boy band 98 Degrees, but the Queen City native has also made waves in reality television with several appearances in popular dating series Love Is Blind and his hosting duties on multiple other shows.

Co-host of Nickelodeon’s America’s Most Musical Family alongside wife Vanessa, he continues his music career while acting in small roles and helping various charities.

98 Degrees

At the close of the 1990s, when boy bands like NSYNC and Backstreet Boys revolutionized pop music for mass consumption, 98 Degrees came onto MTV’s radar. Fronting this band was Nick Lachey Net Worth – an ex-sports medicine major who attended Cincinnati’s School for Creative and Performing Arts before founding 98 Degrees.

Contrary to most boy bands of their time, Nick and Drew Lachey and Justin Jeffre were formed independently rather than being assembled by a producer or record label.

Even though they aimed to distinguish themselves with smooth vocal harmonies and an R&B edge, The 98 Degrees have often been compared with groups such as NSYNC and Backstreet Boys; but all of the members of The 98 Degrees managed to hold their own on charts and stages alike. Even after taking an extended hiatus from touring, their return has recently made headlines – along with the release of a second Christmas album!

Newlyweds

Former boy band singer Jonathan Knight and Jessica Simpson became household names when they appeared on MTV reality series Newlyweds in early aughts. Although this show propelled them into stardom, it also provoked much controversy and contention within their marriage.

Though they eventually divorced in 2005 and moved on from each other, Newlyweds proved instrumental in pioneering a new era of celebrity reality TV.

Nick Lachey has since married Vanessa Minnillo (nee Lachey), with whom he shares children. However, during a reunion episode of Love Is Blind this week, the singer made an obvious dig at his ex-wife Jessica Simpson by dissing her during conversation with cast members Matt Bolton and Colleen Reed – apparently alluding to an episode in which they made fun of her for being scatteredbrained; apparently Lachey alluded to it without specifying when specifically; instead insinuated it was “really really bad episode!” Ouch!

The Sing-Off

The Sing-Off showcases some of the country’s premier a cappella groups in an intense competition on NBC to win a grand prize of $100,000 and recording contract with Sony Music. Former pop star Nick Lachey hosts this series that premiered in 2009.

Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men and Nicole Scherzinger of The Pussycat Dolls serve as judges on this show and assess performances each week before eliminating one group until only three remain. A winner is then announced in the finale episode.

Judges on The Sing-Off are widely known for their cordial rapport and constructive, supportive criticism – an enjoyable change from other reality competition shows! A cappella groups in particular tend to gravitate toward this show; previous winner Pentatonix became one of YouTube’s most popular bands after appearing on this reality competition show’s first season, back in 2007. Meanwhile, Season Three premiered in 2013. Lachey himself has hosted and appeared in various television programs as well as appearing in his own A&E docuseries about opening their sports bar together in Cincinnati along with his brother who also appeared as an actor!

Love Is Blind

Love Is Blind is an addictive reality dating show filled with romantic triangles and runaway brides, all while being insanely entertaining and fun to watch. Watching it may damage your teeth or increase blood sugar, yet you simply cannot stop watching!

The Netflix series differs from its predecessors by permitting contestants to marry upon first meeting and live together for months afterward. But the true drama lies within their relationships and emotional conflicts behind closed walls.

Nick and Vanessa Lachey co-host The Bachelorette, but have come under scrutiny for how they treat couples appearing on the show. On a 2020 episode, they were taken by surprise when one couple used celebrity references when describing themselves to potential matches behind the wall – this led to an online petition demanding Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton be brought back into replace them as co-hosts of season one.
